CostWise — Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Softwaller Technologies Private Limited ("Softwaller", "we", "us"), registered at 3-15/8, Singandi Lakshmana Mudhali Street, Tharamangalam, Salem, Tamil Nadu – 636 502, India (CIN: U62099TN2024PTC172175). Please read them carefully.

By downloading, installing, or using the CostWise app (package com.costwise.app), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

4. Free vs Premium Tiers

Free — "Bachat Plan"

CostWise Free is and will remain free. It includes manual expense entry, up to 3 family members, default categories, daily and weekly reports for the recent past, basic UPI QR scanning (limited per day), PIN lock, and local backup. Free users may see ads.

Premium — "Parivar Plan"

Premium unlocks unlimited family members, unlimited QR scans, OCR receipt scanning, voice expense entry, full historical reports, GST tracking, budget alerts, subscription tracker, cloud sync across devices, biometric lock, PDF/Excel export, and an ad-free experience. The full feature list is shown in the app and on our website.

8. Intellectual Property

The CostWise name, logo, app design, source code, screenshots, and marketing material are owned by Softwaller Technologies Private Limited and are protected by Indian and international copyright and trademark law. You may not use them without our written permission.

CostWise uses open-source software. Where required by their licences, attribution is shown inside the app under Settings → About → Open Source Licences.

CostWise is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it accurate and reliable, but:

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian consumer protection law.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Salem, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to CostWise or these terms.

13. Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint, please email apps@softwaller.com first — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.

If we cannot resolve a dispute within 30 days, both sides agree to refer it to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration will be conducted by a sole arbitrator, in English, in Salem, Tamil Nadu.

This clause does not stop you from approaching a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you inside the app and, for Premium users, by email, at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of CostWise after the change means you accept the new terms.
