Custom ERP for Textile Manufacturers in India

Softwaller builds custom textile ERP for spinning, weaving, processing and garmenting units across Tirupur, Coimbatore, Erode, Karur, Salem and beyond. Live in 12-16 weeks. Includes yarn lot tracking, GST e-invoicing, job-work in/out challan, and Tamil shop-floor UI — sized to your cluster, not a generic template.

Why off-the-shelf ERPs fail textile mills

Generic ERPs are designed for discrete manufacturing — make a pump, ship a pump. Textile is a flow industry where one cotton bale becomes dozens of yarn cones, several beams, multiple dye lots, and finally finished garments. The data model is fundamentally different.

A typical SAP B1 or Oracle NetSuite implementation assumes a deterministic bill of materials — 1 unit of raw material plus 1 unit of component yields 1 unit of output. Textile breaks this assumption at every stage. A 100 kg cotton bale produces 92 kg of carded sliver and 8 kg of soft waste. A spinning mill running 30s count today may switch to 40s tomorrow on the same ring frame, halving the production weight. A dye batch may yield 487 kg against a planned 500 kg because of shrinkage and shade rejection. Without lot-level traceability, costing becomes guesswork and rework is invisible.

Tally migration is even harder. Tally is brilliant accounting software but it has no concept of a yarn count, a doff, a beam, a cut-order plan, or a sewing-line bundle. Mills that try to bolt textile workflow onto Tally end up with parallel Excel sheets that drift apart from the books within weeks. The reconciliation pain at year-end audit is one of the loudest reasons our textile customers come to us asking for a Tally alternative.

Then there is the cluster reality. A Tirupur knitwear exporter sends 70 percent of work to third-party fabricators — knitting, dyeing, embroidery, printing, washing — each a separate job-work challan that must reconcile in/out quantities under GST section 143. A Coimbatore spinner runs three shifts on 50,000 spindles and needs spindle-level production capture to identify a slow-running frame. A Karur home-textile exporter must produce a packing list, certificate of origin, and LUT-based zero-rated export invoice in one click. None of these workflows are first-class in any imported ERP. They are built on top, painfully, by integrators who have never walked a mill floor.

How we build it

A predictable five-step path from first visit to go-live. We do not disappear after delivery — six months of on-site support is included on every textile project.

Process audit

Our team visits your mill — spinning, weaving, dyeing or sewing floor. We watch a full shift, photograph forms, and map every register. No remote-only audits.

Module scoping

We size each module against your buyer mix, cluster, and growth plan. You get a fixed-scope, fixed-price proposal with module-by-module costs.

Sprint development

Two-week sprints with monthly demos at your factory or via video. You see working software every month — no big-bang surprise at month six.

UAT on shop floor

We bring laptops to your floor and test with the actual operators in Tamil. Defects logged on the spot, fixed in the next sprint.

Go-live + 6 months

Parallel run for one full month, then cutover. Six months of on-site or hybrid support included, AMC options thereafter.

Pricing & timeline

Indicative ranges based on real Softwaller textile engagements. Final price depends on module count, integrations, and number of plants. You own the source code on delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions textile owners ask before choosing a software partner.

How long does textile ERP implementation take?
A focused module like knitwear job-work or processing lot management goes live in 12 to 16 weeks. A full multi-stage textile ERP covering spinning, weaving, processing, garmenting and export documentation typically runs 5 to 7 months including data migration, shop-floor UAT and training in Tamil and English.
Can the ERP track yarn lot through to finished garment?
Yes. We carry a yarn lot identifier from cotton bale receipt through ring-frame doff, cone winding, warp/weft, dye lot, knit roll, cut bundle and finished garment carton. Every stage stamps the parent lot so you can trace a finished export carton back to the original cotton supplier and shade dye-bath — useful for buyer audits and BIS/Oeko-Tex documentation.
Do you support Tirupur job-work flow with in/out challan?
Yes. Tirupur knitwear runs on third-party fabricators for knitting, dyeing, embroidery, printing and finishing. We build delivery challan (out), receipt challan (in), with quantity reconciliation, shrinkage allowance, rate cards per process and GST job-work invoicing under section 143. ITC-04 returns are auto-prepared for upload.
Does your ERP integrate with auto-cutters, CAD and CAM?
Yes. We export cut order plans to Lectra, Gerber and Optitex marker files, and import production data back from auto-cutters and sewing-line PLCs. For embroidery we exchange DST and EMB files with Tajima, Barudan and ZSK machines. Third-party product names are trademarks of their respective owners.
How do you handle multi-shift spinning mill data?
Our spinning module captures spindle-level production per shift A, B and C, with count change tracking, doff weight, hank conversion, soft waste and hard waste at ring frame, simplex and carding. Daily efficiency is computed per machine and per shift supervisor, with a TPM/OEE-style dashboard for the mill manager.
Is GST e-invoicing for export with LUT supported?
Yes. We generate IRN through GSP/IRP, e-invoice QR code, e-way bill, shipping bill data, packing list, certificate of origin and LUT-based zero-rated export invoices. Multi-GSTIN setups across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Gujarat are supported out of the box, with consolidated GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B preparation.
Do you support Tamil-language interface for shop floor?
Yes. Shop-floor screens for spinning, weaving, processing and sewing-line entry render in Tamil with an English toggle. Operators see machine names, count, shade and bundle data in Tamil while management reports run in English. We also support Hindi and Gujarati for north and west India clusters such as Bhilwara, Ludhiana and Surat.
